Chibi Reacts; Gamecube Games Disks Will Not Be usable With The Wii U

So I just read this article on ScrewAttack that you won't be able to use your GameCube game disks on their new console the Wii U (read article here). That's a bit of a let down as there are some good games on that system like The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker and Super Mario Sunshine.

One of the things I like about the Wii is the backwards compatibility with all GameCube games and the Virtual Console. Although I didn't plan on getting rid of my Wii anyways, in fact I still have my GameCube. So I'm not really effected by this.

Okay there is a reason I used the phrase "GameCube game disks". It's because even though you can't use them it doesn't mean that you won't be able to play GameCube games on the Wii U. Even though it hasn't been announced there is a possibility that Nintendo may add the GameCube games through their Virtual Console.
